We love staying on property during our Disney trips!

One of our favorite spots is Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, thanks to its proximity to EPCOT, its awesome dining, and its iconic pool, Stormalong Bay. That famous spot to take a dip has been closed for what feels like forever, and it has FINALLY reopened. Check out the pictures here!
Stormalong Bay has finally reopened! The iconic sand-bottom pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club has been a favorite of ours for years, and for good reason.

In case you missed it, this pool has been closed since January 2025 for a major refreshment! Disney confirmed the refurbishment, and now, the pool has FINALLY reopened, although it’s not exactly what we thought it would be.

The main section of the pool has officially reopened; however, not the entire pool has! Still closed are the famous pirate ship slide, the small pool behind that slide, and the cabanas area.

After talking to a Cast Member, there is no clear date on when that famous slide will be reopened for guests.

Along with the pool, Hurricane Hanna’s, the pool bar and restaurant, has been closed for refurbishment as well. It is also officially reopened starting today, and it even has an updated menu!

We’re testing out the new menu later today, and we can’t wait to see what it has to offer. This pool is easily its own little theme park at the resort for families and vacationers to enjoy.

Stormalong Bay is one of the best reasons to enjoy a resort day at the Yacht and Beach Club, but if you’re looking for something a bit quieter, there are leisure pools at the resort as well. We can’t wait to dive in and enjoy the soft sand between our toes.

We will definitely keep an eye on the pool as construction continues. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney updates and news.
