Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting an all-new show on November 7th — Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
There’s also a new meet-and-greet with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps coming to the park, too, so be prepared for a Zootopia TAKEOVER! This new show takes place in the Tree of Life Theater, which previously housed It’s Tough to Be A Bug. This former show had some big fans, but some absolutely hated it. One of the biggest complaints about the show was the part where you’re “stung” in the back (yes, you actually got a surprise poke in the back), but we’ve got good news — that WON’T be a part of the new show!
Recently, we attended a special media preview of NEW things coming to Disney World. Disney told us more about the new Zootopia show, including confirmation that “nothing will poke you in the back” anymore! Talk about a SIGH of relief!
Now, it’s important to note that this new show will still be 4D, meaning that you’ll not only be wearing 3D glasses (called CarrotVision Glasses), but there will be aspects of the show that interact with you.
While we don’t know what these are just yet, things we’ve seen in the past at other 4D shows are certain smells being pumped into the theatre, bubbles coming down from the ceiling, and in the former “It’s Tough to Be A Bug” show, you felt bumps under your seat as the small critters made their way out first.
We also got a look at tons of new posters that are part of the new show, and we can’t get enough! Just look how cute they are; we’re already obsessed. We also know there will be a new character introduced named Heidi Hower — she’s a wolf.
