Almost every day, we see something new that reminds us that things at Disney World are edging back more to pre-pandemic normals.
There are more people in the parks, social distancing has almost become a memory, and fully-vaccinated guests are now allowed to go maskless in most locations. One live show has also returned and we’ll be watching fireworks again soon. And, now there’s more!
We’ve been seeing more and more ride pre-shows return, including the pre-shows of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Dinosaur, and Haunted Mansion. And today, we noticed that the pre-show for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has also returned. Welcome to Hollywood, 1939… .
Previously, this room was just part of the line that guests walked straight through without stopping. But, not anymore! Now guests are directed into one of two pre-show rooms in the hotel lobby area and are asked to fill in the available space.

After the pre-show, guests are then led into the final portion of the queue where they are loaded into the ride vehicles. Keep in mind that we have already seen Disney eliminate plexiglass in the ride vehicles, so things are almost entirely back to normal at the attraction.
We’re excited to see the return of this pre-show — these little shows do a lot to set up the appropriate tone for each ride, and we’ve missed them over the past year. We’ll be sure to let you know if we spot any others returning, too!
