PHOTOS: Don’t Miss the NEW Details on One of Magic Kingdom’s Most Iconic Rides

In just a few months, Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations will officially begin, and preparations are already under way all over Disney World!

Lights are being installed on Spaceship Earth for its new nighttime look, Cinderella Castle is looking quite fancy with new decorations, and some areas in Fantasyland have gotten a shiny new paint job. And during your next visit you might also spot some changes at one classic Magic Kingdom attraction!

There are so many construction and refurb projects going on in Disney World, you can totally forget about some of the smaller ones. For example, did you remember that Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland has been getting some work done to it recently?! 

Earlier this year, Disney shared that some shimmering gold leaf is being added to a few of Fantasyland attractions ahead of the 50th Anniversary. One of the attractions that has been getting a bit of a gold makeover is Prince Charming Regal Carrousel!

Specifically, the little frames surrounding some of the artwork displaying scenes from the film on the top area of the Carrousel have been receiving the golden touch.

We had already noticed some of this taking place, but when we visited today we saw that the transformation appears to be complete!

For reference, here’s what one of these scenes and the frame around it looked like back in 2018.

And here’s what they look like now. They’ve got a fresh look and shine to them.

So, the next time you’re in Magic Kingdom, be sure to look up at these beautiful works of art and the shiny gold details that surround them.
