A BIG Federal Change Means One Less Thing to Worry About For Your Disney Trip

When you’re headed on a Disney vacation, there is a LOT of thinking to do about your travel.

Traveling to the Orlando International Airport

Flying to Disney parks is a great option for those who live far away. Soon, Americans will need the updated Real ID to be able to fly. Now, you have more time until you need to head to the DMV for a new ID.

The Department of Homeland Security announced that the point at which Real IDs will be required for boarding flights and entering federal facilities has been postponed to May 3rd, 2023.

Initially, Real IDs were to be required as of October 1st, 2021. Now, you’ll be able to fly with a regular ID through May 3rd, 2023.. The deadline was postponed again due to the pandemic.

If you needed to get a Real ID to make it on your flight to Disney (or to anywhere) later this year, next year, or in early 2023 — you might be able to strike that from your to-do list! For any trips after May 3rd, 2023, make sure you get that ID updated!
