Last year, Cinderella Castle went through a major transformation ahead of Disney World’s 50th anniversary!

With the new paint job, the castle all of a sudden mismatched the color scheme in Fantasyland, which was designed in a way that blended in with the castle’s hues.
While we were in Magic Kingdom today, we noticed that several of the roofs in Fantasyland were being painted to better match the castle’s richer blue tones.

Here’s a closer look at one of the roofs behind the castle!

You can see where a good comparison of what the old color used to be on the right, to what the new color will be on the left!

One of the roofs being painted can also be seen peeping out from behind Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland.

We’ll keep checking in on the progress happening in Fantasyland as the remainder of the roofs are painted to match Cinderella Castle’s new look!
