Tips for Disney Parks & Cruise Lines
ALL PARKS - If you have kids, bring a change of clothing for them to the parks! I know this must seem like something everyone knows, but we didn't! During our first trip ever to WDW last December my then 4-year-old daughter found the water sprinklers at Pooh's Playful Spot in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. She went in to play and the next thing I knew she was soaked from the water! It was tough, too, because it was a tad chilly and we didn't bring a change of clothing for her. Finding young kids' clothes at Disney is not easy! I did manage to get a pair of Mickey sweatpants, a T-shirt and a pair of socks for my daughter at one of the shops in Fantasyland. So my tip is to bring a change of clothes even for the 4-5 year olds! - Jennifer K.

ALL PARKS - If you plan on going to the Extra Magic Hours in the mornings at the parks, DO NOT go hungry. Nothing is open, except for the rides. We had a hard time even finding a drink. Be sure to eat a breakfast before you get to the park. The only place to have breakfast in the parks are at certain restaurants (character breakfasts) and you'll need reservations for those. - Desiree
EDITOR'S NOTE: While not EVERYTHING is closed during Extra Magic Hours, Desiree is correct that your counter service and snack choices are limited during these times. (This includes evening as well as morning Extra Magic Hours.) To avoid touring with a cranky, hungry group, eating before you head to the parks is not a bad idea.

I've found a perfect way to keep the magic going from my long ago trip to WDW and get my daily dose of Disney at the same time. I tune to MouseWorld Radio on Live365.com. I'm able to listen at work and be transported to WDW. Listening to the Magic Kingdom atmosphere music always puts me in a happy mood! - Donia Camarena
EDITOR'S NOTE: Thanks, Donia! We love MouseWorld Radio, too! And a big ALL EARS® hello to MouseWorld Radio's Mike Newell!

Here's a tip for parents booking a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Castle Package for their child: The costumes they have on hand that come with the package go up to a snug size 10 (child's). My 11-year-old (she turned 11 the day after the Boutique package) couldn't even come close to fitting in a costume, and was very disappointed as her two siblings could pick anything they wanted. After we were there, I was told they can get any size, including adult sizes, if you request in advance. Had I known this, it would have been much more magical. I would still recommend this package to anyone with girls -- those pictures and the memories are absolutely priceless and we will cherish them forever. Another tip: The pictures are included on your Disney PhotoPass, and you can purchase a CD with ALL your pictures from your trip for just $99, which then belong to you (copyright release included). - Tammy K.

A quick note to let everyone know that Will Call tickets can be picked up at the ticket counter (lobby concierge) at any Disney resort, which is something I really wish I had known. Our Halloween Party tickets had not arrived before we left for Orlando. We discovered at check-in that the person who took our reservation, in an attempt to update our information with our new home address, forgot to change the city. Oops... So, with us in Orlando and our tickets floating around our old city, the staff at the front desk did everything they could to try to get us new tickets, but in the end they had to refer us to Guest Relations. That night, in costume, I went up to the Guest Relations window expecting to have a problem, but I couldn't have been more pleased. After checking my ID, my confirmation number, and verifying that the tickets had not been used, the cast member gave me new tickets and even gave me back the $3 I had paid for shipping, without me even asking! So, my advice to everyone is to use Will Call at your resort. If you must have your tickets shipped to you, double check your address and hang on to your confirmation number. Then, if something does go wrong, and you must go to Guest Relations, don't be afraid. Their staff is the best of the bunch. - Sandra DeTora
All Resorts - We recently spent five days at Port Orleans and during check-in were asked if we needed any help with reservations. We responded that we did not, we already had dining reservations, so the Cast Member told us to stop at the lobby concierge desk and they would print out an itinerary for us. We did so and were pleased to see that in addition to our reservation locations, times and confirmation numbers, our Backstage Safari Tour was also listed on the itinerary. - Leland Groves
I am adding to a tip in the October 17 newsletter regarding shipping of merchandise from your resort. We just returned from a weeklong stay at the Wilderness Lodge and had a large box (weighing 29 pounds) shipped home on the morning of our departure from the WL. When we first inquired about shipping rates, we also were rather stunned to find out the outrageous cost. The gift shop (going strictly by dollar amount of items shipped) would have cost us $76. We were instructed (for comparison) to see what the cost would be to ship through the front desk instead. Going through the front desk was much cheaper -- $23 UPS -- and our merchandise arrived at our home about three days after we did. We chose UPS, but they also ship FedEx and DHL. - Debbie
