Love this resort have stayed here many times. Would stay here all the time If it wasn’t for just having to take bus to get to the parks

My family of 4 loved this resort. We were two adults, a 16 year old girl and a 14 year old boy. We loved the small size of the resort and how close everything was together. The bus stop and main building with quick service were close by, as was the pool. After a long park day, it was so welcome! We enjoyed the food at the good court as well. Of course, the beignets were a fabulous bonus. The theming is subtle and relaxing- just what we wanted.Having only bus transportation to the parks was not an issue for us at all. I would definitely return or recommend!
Pros:
Clean, beautiful, small size, friendly cast members, fun pool, good food courtCons:
Only bus transportation, but that didn't bother us, little kids might prefer more bold Disney decorReviewed by disneydiner Review Date: 08/12/2025

My home away from home! My favorite resort-so close to every park, especially Epcot. I love the compactness of the resort, no room is too far way. The newly decorated rooms are very nice. The Cast Members are all very friendly and I love the pin trading boards in the gift shop and lobby. The Beignets are a real treat. Cat Scat's is fun. I have stayed there 33 times and hope stay #34 is soon!
Pros:
Size of resort, nice rooms, good bus service, price, Beignets!Cons:

The French Quarter is as good as it gets with moderate level pricing. The rooms are great with minor Princess and the Frog theming, the resort is along the water and there is a great walking trail, the pool is very fun and lively during the summer with a thrilling slide for young children, and of course it is home to the famous Mickey Mouse Beignets. The Dining option here is Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. It's a decent spot with some good comfort food and a couple specialty dishes worth trying. Across the lobby is the Scat Cat's Lounge where you get those beignets and I was there quite a bit. This is the only spot on WDW property where you can get Mickey shaped ones and they are totally worth it. The seasonal flavors can be big hits as well. As a Disneyland local in California, I will say the Mickey beignets in the Disneyland Park are superior to these, but the ones in Port Orleans French Quarter will definitely hit the spot. One place the resort lacks is transportation. There is only bus transportation to all four parks and the water parks which can take some time and be a little inconsistent, BUT there is a great ferry boat ride over to Disney Springs which I highly recommend doing if time allows you to.
Pros:
Boat to Springs Mickey Shaped Beignets Clean Rooms Fun PoolCons:

We just completed a trip to Disney and stayed in Port Orleans French Quarter. We were assigned to unit #7. We liked being out of the busy area. Nice and quiet and the walk to the restaurant was very pleasant.
Pros:
The refrigerator in the room was contained in the cabinet next to the drawers. It was a standard size for a hotel found everywhere while traveling. It was nice to keep water and food cold. Boat trip was complementary and not much of a a wait to Disney Springs.Cons:
Can’t think of any.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/20/2023

Stayed late August 2023, lovely, quiet resort. Small in size so all buildings are a short walk to food court, front desk, buses, and most importantly, fresh made to order beignets! Enjoyed taking the boat to Disney Springs, nice alternative to the bus. Staff went out of their way to help and answer questions. Already booked this resort for my next visit.
