Today is a very big day, people. It’s May the 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day!

There’s a lot going on for this special occasion. You already KNOW we’re here to try the new snacks, and we’ve been keeping our eyes on the wait times throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see if Batuu is bringing in extra crowds for the celebration. If you can’t make it to a galaxy far, far away, come with us to see what it’s like to celebrate May the Fourth in Disney World!
Park Pass Reservations are SOLD OUT for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, meaning it might take a little extra work for Annual Passholders to visit the park on this special occasion. But, looking at the wait times in Batuu, it seems like the lines for attractions aren’t that long, considering the circumstances. Rise of the Resistance hit a 75-minute wait around 2 PM, but we’ve seen that wait time MUCH higher in the past. Even Smugglers Run was only reporting a 40- to 45-minute wait in the middle of the afternoon.

Our good friend Chewbacca was out and about, meeting fans near the Millennium Falcon. The line to meet him was pretty long!

The lines for FOOD were much longer than usual, too. Take a peek at the line for the Milk Stand — it extended behind the restrooms!

We also stopped by Docking Bay 7 for a snack! Those yucca fries were AMAZING — stay tuned for our full review.

If you’re looking for something sweet, you might want to try the Battle of Hoth Macaroon at Backlot Express, available for $6.49. This is a toasted coconut macaroon on a cookie decorated with buttercream, shredded coconut, and white chocolate.

Don’t forget — there are plenty of exclusive souvenirs for sale, too! There’s this ICONIC Death Star Bucket, which includes popcorn at the time of purchase. You can find it at Kat Saka’s Kettle and several cart locations throughout the park.

We also had to check out the new Jawa Sipper, which includes your choice of a non-alcoholic fountain beverage at the time of purchase. You’ll find it at ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, Fairfax Fare, Main Entrance Cart, and PizzeRizzo.

Speaking of souvenirs, there’s a NEW collection dedicated to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Note that if you want to buy any of the exclusive new Star Wars souvenirs, you’ll need to join a virtual queue. To join the virtual queue to access the Stage 1 Company Store (that’s where the good stuff is located), you’ll need to pull it up on your My Disney Experience app. We spotted new shirts…

…new mugs, pins, and more!

Outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs is having some May the Fourth fun, too! You can find a Choose Your Side Petit Cake at Amorette’s Patisserie, and as you can see, the Cast Members had some fun with this one.
May the force be with you, and happy Revenge of the Fifth (May 5th)! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
