A MAJOR change came to Walt Disney World on February 25th, as two of the resort’s newest E-Ticket attractions changed how their queues worked. But just how early did the change go into effect?

Beginning today, February 25th, both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT have transitioned from using a virtual queue to a traditional standby queue system. As the date approached, many were curious as to whether either or both of the rides would be available as part of Disney’s Early Entry program for select hotel guests. Now, we have our answer!
Disney’s Early Entry allows eligible guests to enter Disney World’s theme parks 30 minutes earlier than the general public, with select rides available. So, what was the case for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind?
Well, as the classic song goes, Disney was halfway there.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind DID open as part of EPCOT’s Early Entry hour at 8:30 AM. The ride’s initial posted wait time was 35 minutes, before jumping to approximately an hour. As of 10:15 AM, the Marvel coaster had a posted wait of 65 minutes in the resort’s app.

On the other hand, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure did NOT open as part of the Magic Kingdom’s Early Entry. The attraction was supposed to open at 9:00 AM along with the rest of the park, but it didn’t open until a little while later.
There was an initial rush for the attraction before the wait times settled down a bit. As of 10:15, the ride had a posted wait of 20 minutes on the Disney World app. It’s unclear as of yet if Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be made available for Early Entry in the future, though it is currently not listed as an offering in the future.

Early Entry isn’t the only difference between the two rides as the queue changeover begins. As of now, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure offers a standby queue and access using Lightning Lane Premier Pass or Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while Cosmic Rewind is available through a standby queue, Lightning Lane Premier Pass, and Lightning Lane Single Pass but NOT Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Both Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened up their standby queues for the first time today, but only one of the attractions was offered as part of Walt Disney World’s Early Entry program. Stay tuned to AllEars for further coverage of these queue changes.
