UPDATE on the New Tower Coming to the Disneyland Hotel

There are some big changes coming to Disneyland Resort soon!

The park recently unveiled plans for the refurbishment of Tarzan’s Treehouse, and Disney’s Toontown is also getting a major makeover. One hotel will also see some changes in the form of a brand-new DVC tower! Check out a milestone construction update on that tower here. 

Ken Potrock, the President of Disneyland Resort, announced on Instagram that Walt Disney Imagineering has achieved “another big construction milestone” on the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower at Disneyland Hotel. Workers recently raised the last of the highest steel beams, which mark the top of the tower.

Cast Members celebrated with a watch party at the pool, where they saw the beams being put into place. Earlier, several Cast Members got to sign their names on the beams as well.

The new tower will be called The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and is expected to open sometime in 2023 with a new pool and restaurant.

The rooms inside are going to have a Sleeping Beauty theme, and Disney Imagineers have said that they’re looking at Walt’s drawings for inspiration.
