Did the Thanksgiving holiday bring longer wait times to the Disney World parks? Let’s take a look!

Since the parks reopened, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the wait times of all the Disney World attractions. And we’ve even broken down the info to look at the average wait times for the most popular rides!
Since the Thanksgiving holiday typically brings larger crowds to the parks, we wanted to see how long the waits were this year. So, let’s take a look at the average wait times for Disney World’s most popular attractions from Friday, November 20th through Friday, November 27th!
Magic Kingdom
For many guests,  Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a must-do attraction on a trip to Magic Kingdom. And it definitely shows, since this ride had the longest average wait time in the park last week at 71 minutes.

The wildest ride in the wilderness, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, was also a hot ticket last week, with an average wait time of 47 minutes.

Peter Pan’s Flight is a classic that many guests are willing to wait to experience! Last week, the average wait time for the ride was 32 minutes.

To set sail on Pirates of the Caribbean, guests had to wait an average of 39 minutes last week.

To take flight on Space Mountain, guests had to wait an average of 47 minutes.

Splash Mountain continues to have one of the longest waits in the park, with an average wait time of 47 minutes last week.

Now that spooky season is over, the lines at Haunted Mansion have been a bit shorter — the average wait for the attraction was 21 minutes last week!

EPCOT
For guests visiting EPCOT, the attraction with the highest average wait was Frozen Ever After at a hefty 78 minutes.

For those who prefer flight over boat travel, the average wait time at Soarin’ was 49 minutes.

And for a nice relaxing ride on an Omnimover, guests could hop on Spaceship Earth relatively quickly (by holiday crowd standards!) with an average wait of 18 minutes.

But if you’re looking for something with a little more zip, Test Track might be more your speed! Last week, the posted wait times for the attraction averaged 64 minutes.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This park is home to the attraction that had the longest wait times in all of Disney World last week. The honor goes to Avatar Flight of Passage at 86 minutes!

While the line wasn’t quite as long next door, Na’vi River Journey also posted some pretty significant waits, at an average of 48 minutes.

Guests who were feeling brave enough to take on the Yeti could ride Expedition Everest with an average wait of 40 minutes.

Or, to take on even larger creatures, the wait at Dinosaur was an average of 36 minutes.

In our opinion, no visit to Animal Kingdom is truly complete without a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris. We would definitely wait 26 minutes to ride this attraction!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
For guests in Hollywood Studios, the attraction with the longest wait was Slinky Dog Dash at an average of 72 minutes!

The wait times at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway have been more reasonable since plexiglass dividers were added on the attraction. Last week, the average posted wait time was 41 minutes.

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the average wait for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was 45 minutes.

Toy Story Mania has tons of “re-rideability” and at an average wait of just 24 minutes, we would definitely be back to try to beat our score!

Over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, guests could wait 51 minutes before getting their backstage passes to the show!

The Twilight Zone might be in another dimension, but at Tower of Terror guests could get there in 45 minutes!

The wait times could continue to fluctuate as the holiday season gets busier. But, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for everything happening in the parks, so you know what to expect before your next trip to Disney World!
