On May 1, Hollywood Studios will celebrate its 30th Anniversary with special food, merchandise, and the debut of a new nighttime show.

The special day will kick off with Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary Star-Studded Celebration cavalcade starring Mickey and friends. Look for the cavalcade on Hollywood Boulevard at 10 a.m.

As you enter the park on May 1, you can pick up a special 30th anniversary commemorative guide map and button. That isn’t all, you will find special, commemorative merchandise around the park including t-shirts, hats, ornaments, a MagicBand, Tervis Tumbler, and more!

There will be some Annual Passholder exclusive merchandise as well. Merchandise can be found starting at 8 a.m. in Grand Park, while supplies last. (Please note: Merchandise will go on sale at 8 a.m., Hollywood Studios opens at 9 a.m.)

No celebration is complete without food! We will learn more information as the celebration nears, but were given a preview of some of the special items. Special sweet treats will include Kylo Ren Cupcakes, Incredibles Macarons, Tres Leches Verrine, and more to come!

To close out the special day, Hollywood Studios ‘ new nighttime projection show, Wonderful World of Animation, will make its debut on May 1. The façade of the Chinese Theatre  will display a tribute to animation that celebrates themes like magic, family, adventure, romance and friendship. Each theme will be illustrated with clips from films including Sleeping Beauty, The Incredibles, Coco, and many more. The show will debut at 9:05 p.m. before the park’s Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show.

In addition to all of these events during standard park operating hours, there is a special, separately ticketed version of Disney After Hours on May 1 in Hollywood Studios. During this special version of Disney After Hours you can take advantage of little to no-wait times for popular attractions and rides — including the Toy Story Land rides, Tower of Terror, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Plus, on May 1, Disney After Hours in Hollywood Studios will feature some beloved Disney characters ready to greet guests in the Chinese Theatre Courtyard, at Star Wars Launch Bay and more. There will also be an encore presentation of Wonderful World of Animation during the event.
