We've Got a NEW Look at the 'Monsters, Inc.' Expansion in Disney's Hollywood Studios

Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me! And by “thing,” we mean the new Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While we were sad to see The Muppets Courtyard go, we are pretty darn excited to see what Monstropolis will bring to this park. We’ve been keeping up with all the latest changes and updates we can get our hands on, and now we’ve got an updated look at construction!

Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter, we’ve got a new aerial look at construction on the new Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Right now, the crew is working on the roller coaster foundation and placing rebar.

There’s a TON of scaffolding all around the land right now, including at the location that formerly housed PizzeRizzo. No more Rat Pizza sign!

The facades on the right side of the land were recently stripped down to their frames. Here, you can see them covered in plastic to shield them from the rain.

There are quite a few vehicles and other equipment in the land right now, clearing dirt and working on the facades of the buildings.

Below, you can see scaffolding at the former Muppet*Vision 3D theater. It’s being rethemed for Monstropolis, and concept art shows it will be called The Glob theater — though Disney hasn’t made any official announcements yet.
