Wow. Disney World Did NOT Hesitate to Make Changes to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

It feels too early to talk about this, but we have no choice!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Just a few days ago, on March 2nd, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith permanently closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This closure is to make way for a new version of the ride featuring The Muppets. Like any OG ride, it’s tough to say bye, but we can’t hide the excitement we have about this change either! Well, neither can Disney, because they’re wasting no time getting started on the transformation.

We recently went to Hollywood Studios and spotted a sign that Disney is starting work immediately. You all know the famous upside-down car when you enter the courtyard where the ride is? It’s the car that shows guests what’s to come with this thrill ride — resembling both the ride vehicle and its intensity. You know…the light blue one?! Here, we’ll show you…

Make it a super stretch

Well, you’ll be shocked to see that Disney has given the car a body of fresh new paint. The car has some pretty sick flames on it now!

New paint job!

The work does look to be incomplete, with the flames only being on one side. Disney clearly isn’t finished, but they may also be testing out what it might look like before they go all in. We’re fans of the idea!

Work has begun!

Disney announced a while back that the hope is to have The Muppets version of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster completed by the Summer of 2026. They never specified what date in the summer, whether it’s earlier or later, but we know that we should be able to experience the ride this summer.

The attraction will feature animatronics of Scooter and the penguin audio engineers, who will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert.

The concept of the ride itself is very similar to what we had before. We will be getting a VIP tour of  G-Force Records, but under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been told that G-Force Records has a new, unique look, as Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, has taken over.

We’re very excited to see The Muppets get a new home at Hollywood Studios, and we can’t wait to experience this attraction. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more changes Disney makes at the courtyard. Eventually, the car will be changing even more, so that’ll be cool to see! Make sure to stay tuned to AllEars so you don’t miss anything.
