We spent a LOT of time in EPCOT yesterday, thanks to the beginning of the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. And although we enjoyed everything the festival brings to EPCOT, including all the entertainment, food, and more, there was something new that surprised us when we arrived at the park.
EPCOT just got a new welcome message, and we think it could be one of the best yet.
If you visit Disney World’s theme parks in the mornings, you might know that most have a welcome message welcoming visitors to the park for the day. Well, EPCOT just got a new welcome message with a very familiar voice: Walt Disney. The message is a quote from Walt about EPCOT itself.

Yes, Walt is welcoming you himself to the EPCOT. Here’s the full text of Walt’s part of the message: “The heart of everything we’ll be doing in Disney World will be our Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow. We call it EPCOT.”
That’s followed by a narrator explaining Walt’s dream for EPCOT and welcoming visitors to the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays.
We also love that the message included a welcome to the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. We think this message could change for each festival, so that would be nice to hear when visiting EPCOT, right?
