We’re SHOCKED At The Crowds at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

Eek! It’s time for another EPCOT festival! We’ve officially said goodbye to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival and now get to welcome in the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

This festival runs till December 30th, and we’re bringing you all the details on what entertainment to watch and what food to dive into. The first day of a festival can bring a lot of people, especially when it’s so short like this one, so let’s check out the crowds!

Before the park officially opened, we lined up inside with everyone else so we would be ready to enter at opening time. Let’s just say rope drop was looking a little busy.

Looking a little busy

A lot of people had the same idea.

Once the park opened, the crowds dispersed a bit. While there will be some wiggle room, it’s going to be a crowded day in EPCOT.

People are still coming in

How about the food booths? The booths usually open at 11 AM, but people tend to line up early. Of course, you can expect to see people at Joffrey’s first thing, but the line there wasn’t TOO bad.

So if you’re looking for a coffee fix during the festival, go here instead of Connections Cafe, where things are a lot busier.

Skip Starbucks unless you want to wait in this line…

Also, be prepared to wait if you want to meet the most famous man this season…

…Santa!

SANTA!!! I know him!

If EPCOT is wall-to-wall people, how are the attractions? Well, funny enough, most people don’t go on rides during the opening day of festivals! But some rides already had long waits by 10 AM. Frozen Ever After was at 55 minutes, while the Anna and Elsa meet and greet was at a whopping 95 minutes, beating out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which had an 85-minute wait.

It probably doesn’t help that both Test Track and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure were closed at rope drop.

Make sure you keep following AllEars because we’re eating everything at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays and telling you what you should spend your money on. Stay tuned!
