As of today, Lightning Lane has changed yet again in Disney World, and that means there are MORE rules to learn.

However, we’re happy to report it’s not a MASSIVE change. Today, July 22nd, after over a year of refurbishment, Test Track 3.0 has finally reopened in EPCOT! If you’re heading into the park and want to skip waiting in what we’re sure is about to be a LONG line, here’s what you need to know.
Starting today, EPCOT’s list of Tier 1 Lightning Lane attractions (which you can only select one of when you’re first booking your three selections) now consists of:
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Test Track

Tier 2 Lightning Lane attractions (which can make up your other two selections ahead of being in the park) now consists of:
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Mission: SPACE
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush

Now that Test Track is a Tier 1 and it’ll most likely be the most popular one to get for some time, it’ll likely make getting Lightning Lanes for Frozen Ever After and Remy’s a little bit easier. However, you don’t HAVE to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass to experience this new version of the attraction — you can also head to the Standby line if you don’t mind waiting.

This new version of Test Track takes more inspiration from the original ride, World of Motion, and guests will “discover how new technology is shaping the way we connect with each other and the world around us.” While we do know there’s no more customize your own car section of the attraction, we personally really enjoy the new version of the ride, and think a lot of guests will feel the same way.
