NEWS: Test Track Has Officially REOPENED at Disney World

The day has finally come, and it’s time to RACE on over to EPCOT!

Test Track is officially back at EPCOT, and looking better than ever.  Now, after a long year of waiting, guests can finally enjoy the new version of the popular ride.

After closing in June of 2024, the ride is officially open with its third new version — and we’re so excited! In the recent past, new rides at Disney World have been using a virtual queue for guests to ride. You won’t need to worry about that process for Test Track, because there will be no virtual queue.

If you’re looking to ride, just come to the park (with a valid park pass) and enter the standby queue. Lightning Lane Multi-Pass will also be available, although we’re anticipating that they will be extremely popular and could sell out fast.

Like the last version of Test Track, there will be a Single Rider line available. It was available on opening day today, but the Cast Members didn’t know how long the wait would be. You can get on quicker, but on some occasions, you may end up waiting even longer.

Let us tell you, Test Track saw a lot of people on opening day — it was BUSY!

This created a little cause for panic when the ride temporarily closed in the morning. Thankfully, the ride did open back up and immediately reached a 150-minute wait time.

Be prepared to wait for a while during this opening period, because everyone is going to want to get on this new version of the popular ride. You can use the time to enjoy the brand-new queue line!

Without giving away too much, a lot has changed with the new ride! We noticed a lot of new things, like new scents, new scenery, the use of an original EPCOT song, and even the ride photo. You’re going to want to keep an eye out for all these things, plus more surprises.

The ride still has its outdoor, open area to end the ride. Due to this, the ride can close depending on what the weather looks like on the day. Just be aware of this, and make sure to check the app when it’s raining.

It feels like EPCOT has finally finished its long, LONG transformation process over the years. What a journey it has been! Who knows what the plans are in the future?!
