Forget Brat Summer, This Summer Is All About GOOFYCORE at Disney World

Cool Kid Summer has officially begun at Disney World, and we’re checking it all out!

New character meet-and-greets, dance parties, and a whole lot more just debuted around the parks, and we’re taking you with us to EPCOT to see what one, in particular, is all about. That’s right, it’s time for GoofyCore!

Goofy has taken over CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT, and we’re certainly not complaining! Welcome to GoofyCore, a new dance and entertainment zone for kiddos (and adults!). From May 27th through September 1st, you’ll find tons of entertainment and more throughout the parks and some hotels, and this is just part of it!

At GoofyCore, kids can dance to tunes spun by a live DJ and play games like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks.

We love all the different play areas and props located throughout the new space, and the best part is that it’s a GREAT break from the heat since it’s in the air-conditioning!

We think this is a super cute spot for kids. They have different activities and props, and Goofy’s Team (the dancers) are fabulous at encouraging kids to get up and play. Also, there was a good mix of music — we heard everything from “Baby Shark” to songs from Frozen and High School Musical, so it appeals to several age groups of kids.

It was a tad overwhelming for some kids, but luckily, most of the action was on one side, so they could run around on the other side if they didn’t want to do the activities and just wanted a break.

You don’t get to see as many characters here as you do at the new Get Animated show over at Hollywood Studios, but it’s more than just a regular dance party. Also, Goofy is nonstop jumping and running around for about 20-30 minutes straight, which is just impressive.

Cool Kid Summer is off to a great start at Disney World! Make sure you stop by GoofyCore from now through September 1st to check it all out.
