If you’re planning a Disney World trip in 2025, there’s quite a bit of change you should be ready for before you make your way over to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Disney World is changing all the time, and that includes its MANY hotels. 2025 is no exception, and you can expect some BIG differences at several hotels, especially when it comes to new rooms. Wondering which hotels will have new rooms this year? We’ve got you covered!
While several offerings are available this year, construction on refurbished rooms will continue through the year at Disney Lakeshore Lodge, and other resorts like Disney’s Pop Century Resort will be under construction to refurbish existing rooms later in the year and into 2026. We’re going to lay it all out so without further ado, let’s get into all the details!
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
As previously mentioned, Disney’s Pop Century is getting much-needed TLC in the form of a room refurbishment project.

While it won’t necessarily be opening new rooms in 2025, we do know that starting in March this year, the resort will begin tons of construction as guest rooms are set to receive updates. The construction is slated to continue at least into February 2026.
Fort Wilderness Campground
Disney’s Fort Wilderness is going out with the old and in with the new! Old cabins have been replaced by over 350 brand-new cabins as the resort makes the switch to a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property.

The new cabin project is expected to be completed by this April, so feel free to make a reservation and stay at one of these upgraded pre-fabricated cabins!
The Port Orleans Resorts
A lot of room changes are going on this year at both Port Orleans hotels!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter has already been undergoing a modernization of its guest rooms, which is complete as of spring 2025.

Over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, the Magnolia Bend rooms and Royal Rooms will BEGIN a reimaging starting this spring. Construction is anticipated from April 2025 through January 2026.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
We’re going to cheat a little bit with some rooms that are brand-new and already open, albeit they opened in late 2024. The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is officially open now, which obviously means NEW ROOMS!

The Polynesian is also expecting to see some refurbishments and construction through 2026, so if you’re staying here this year, prepare for impacted views and ongoing noise during daytime hours.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is next on the list, completing the Copper Creek Villas by September this year.

Like the Polynesian, the construction isn’t stopping there. Per the hotel, Wilderness Lodge is conducting exterior construction that might trickle into 2027. So, once again, room disruptions aren’t off the table in 2025.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort just got the ball rolling with a short-ish room refurbishment on select guest rooms.

The project started in January and is expected to wrap up only a few months later in May. Also, rest assured, as most amenities will remain open during the refurbishment period.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Finally, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting in on the action with room refurbishments coming to Bay Lake Tower this year.

Refurbishments are already underway and are expected to wrap up at some point this September.
