PHOTOS AND VIDEO: FULL Tour of Communicore Hall and Plaza at EPCOT!

We are SO glad this day is finally here, friends!

On June 10th, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, massive pieces of EPCOT’s Transformation, finally open, and we just got a sneak peek! This is a new center for all of EPCOT’s festivals, starting with the Food & Wine Festival beginning in August. Come with us to check them out!

Ready to step in? We are — let’s go!

When you first step into CommuniCore Hall, you’ll be met with a large open space, lit up with different colored lights and highlighting each of the four areas of the park.

You’ll find World Discovery…

…World Nature…

…World Celebration (with a band playing that will play each night!)…

…and World Showcase!

And over near World Showcase, you’ll also find an EPCOT mural, complete with the colors of each of the 4 sections, that you can take photos with!

Seriously, it’s a fantastic backdrop!

On the opposite walls, you’ll find an area where you can peer into the kitchen!

We followed the line and grabbed some of the complimentary drinks that were available for this media event, but we aren’t yet sure what will be served here on a normal day — if anything.

But now it’s time to head outside to CommuniCore Plaza! This is where you’ll find tons of open space to enjoy concerts and “¡Celebración Encanto!” that will take place each day! In the evenings, Latin Bands will be performing on this stage.

As a heads up, these tables won’t be here on a normal day — it will just be wide open space!

This is also where you’ll be able to find Restrooms…

…as well as the Festival Favorites booth! Disney said that this booth will be open during the festivals — but we’re unsure if it will also serve food on non-festival days.

Out here is also where you’ll find the entrance to Mickey & Friends, which is the new character meet and greet spot!

While you’re waiting outside in the queue, you can enjoy the beautiful mural outside — there are SO many details you don’t want to miss!

When you head inside, you’ll get to meet Mickey and a couple of his pals in different areas with unique backgrounds behind them! On this evening we met Goofy and Minnie, but we’re told those characters will rotate. Mickey will always be there, though!

We said a quick hey to each of our favorite pals, and then we headed back outside through this really cool hallway!

This new area is a fantastic way to relax, inside or outside, hear some live music and/or enjoy a show, and meet some of your favorite characters. We can’t wait to see what a festival will be like in this space, and you know we’ll be first in line to check it out, so stay tuned to AllEars!
