Dear Disney World, PLEASE Fix This Problem During the Test Track Closure

Disney World rides close unexpectedly — we know this and warn you to be prepared for it on your trip, too.

HOWEVER, sometimes, these closures get excessive, and even Disney experts are confused. We’ve seen singular rides close multiple times in a day, as well as seen multiple rides in one park close all at once. But Disney, right now we have ONE request, and that’s to PLEASE fix this issue when you’re reimagining Test Track!

That’s right, Test Track is closing in June for a lengthy reimagining, which will completely change the look of the ride (but not the ride system!).

Many fans are excited about this change, especially those who missed the attraction before Test Track, which was called World of Motion.  The concept art for the new ride looks reminiscent of EPCOT’s older attraction!

So, what’s the current issue with ride closures, you ask? Well, in the month of May alone, Test Track closed a whopping 37 times over 24 days! Granted, some of these closures were due to weather, as the ride is partially outdoors and can’t run in storms, but many of the closures were due to issues in the ride.

We’re crossing our fingers that Disney will take the time to refresh the ride’s track and technology while it’s under refurbishment. This will hopefully mean that it will experience fewer closures due to technical issues when it reopens, and we look forward to that day!
