The Park Essentials Every Epic Universe First-Timer Forgets to Pack

Universal’s Epic Universe has been open for over a year, and the Orlando area’s newest theme park is still drawing in first-time visitors… some of whom might not be clear on what they NEED to bring to make it through a day in the park.

Luckily for those first-timers, we’ve been visiting Epic Universe since the park opened (actually, since before the park *officially* opened), and over that time we’ve put together a list of all the essentials to make a perfect — dare we say EPIC — day!

Let’s begin with one of the MOST important: Sunscreen!

Epic Universe is home to many things. E-Ticket attractions? Check! Beloved properties? You better believe it! Unique food items? Heck yes! One thing that the park is definitely missing? Shade. The vast majority of the park sits in direct sunlight, especially in areas like Celestial Park where the trees haven’t fully grown in yet. That’s where sunscreen comes in. Right up there with sun protection is hydration, which brings us to the classic OWALA Water Bottle.

Speaking of water bottles, this BAGSMART Water Bottle Sling is a perfect way to combine hydration with storage.

From our experience, the sling was a great fit for a 24-oz water bottle, sunglasses, a PinFolio, a sunscreen stick, a small bottle of Tylenol, lip gloss, and a hair clip. It has a zipper pocket on the side that makes it easier to add/take things out, as well as a small card holder/card slots in the front pocket, and a drawstring closure. The front pocket also fits the new iPhone (the larger size) — in other words, pretty much everything you’ll need for a day at the park can fit in this sling. Plus, it will fit easily in one of the park’s lockers.
