Genie+ Sees PRICE DROP in Disney World

While Genie+ is a super helpful tool in many cases, it sure is an expensive one, ESPECIALLY throughout the busy holiday season.

Genie+

Disney World’s skip-the-line service operates based on surge pricing — so the price can get higher and higher based on how many folks Disney suspects will be visiting a park on a certain day. Throughout the Christmas season, we saw Genie+’s Multipark and Magic Kingdom options at the record-breaking price of $39.  Thankfully, the price has started to trend downward, with the exception of the Multipark and Magic Kingdom options soaring back up to $39 on New Year’s Eve. Usually, we can predict when these prices will go back up based on park pass reservation availability. If park pass reservations are all grabbed, we can typically expect to see a busier park and therefore a higher Genie+ price. Except… that’s not always the case!

On January 2nd, 2024, Magic Kingdom AND Disney’s Hollywood Studios reservations were sold out for regular park tickets.

Magic Kingdom reservations weren’t even available for Annual Passholders. 😬

Based on the reservation availability calendar, we were nervous to check the Genie+ prices. We had a feeling that those prices went back up AGAIN. But… we were wrong! (Sometimes we love being wrong.)

Yessiree, those prices CONTINUED to drop! The most expensive options were, of course, the Multipark and Magic Kingdom options — at $29. That’s a $10 difference from what we saw only two days ago on New Year’s Eve.
