One Disney World Character Just Got EASIER to Meet!

We’ve got big news for all you Moana fans out there!

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is finally open in EPCOT, and while we’re so excited everyone can finally experience this attraction, there’s another addition you won’t want to miss — Moana is now meeting guests in the park!

Journey of Water soft opened for guests on October 6th, and it was previously announced that a Moana meet and greet would be joining the attraction. This character meet and greet also debuted with the soft opening, but it has officially opened as of October 16th!

Yes, that means there are actually TWO places you can meet Moana in Disney World right now — EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. The line can get long at Animal Kingdom, so by having Moana in two spots, hopefully, it will increase your chances of meeting her during your vacation!

You can find Moana in EPCOT now right outside the Journey of Water entrance.

You can meet Moana at set times throughout the day. Crowds flocked to the meet and greet and although it was not as wild as the Figment crowds when he debuted in the park, it’s still busy over here.

You can find the meet and greet listed on your My Disney Experience app, along with when she’ll be greeting guests. We expect lines to be pretty long for the first few days (or weeks, potentially), so keep that in mind when you’re planning to stop by.
