PHOTOS: See Disney’s NEW 100th Anniversary Addition in EPCOT

Well, it’s official. The Walt Disney Company is joining the 100 Club as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Do you think this means the CEO has to blow out 101 birthday candles (you know, one for good luck) on a giant cake? We already know that Disney is celebrating the big event, after all!

Disney previously announced that some additional 100th Anniversary celebrations were coming to EPCOT, including a new character meet-and-greet, a new nighttime fireworks show, and even a platinum sculpture of Mickey Mouse. Well, the time has come! Let’s check out one of the SHINIEST new additions in EPCOT.

Starting on September 22nd, Disney introduced several new 100th Anniversary-themed experiences. For example, you can now meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their platinum outfits over in the Imagination Pavilion. These new outfits are shiny, sparkly, and sophisticated, don’t you think?

But that’s not all! Take a look at the NEW platinum sculpture of Mickey Mouse, located in World Celebration.

You can find Mickey right in front of Spaceship Earth (which makes a lovely backdrop for photos, by the way).

Oh, and speaking of photos, Disney is offering special Magic Shots and PhotoPass ops throughout the park!

Fun fact: this statue has a twin! You can find a platinum Mickey statue over in Disneyland Resort, too.
