This weekend’s Destination D23 event, Disney’s biggest fan event of the year, has already revealed tons of exciting updates!
On Saturday morning, the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro hosted a panel with lots of info about new experiences coming to the Disney parks. We got a sneak peek at a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure animatronic, more details about EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular, and a timeline for Figment’s appearance in EPCOT, to name a few. Plus, we learned that Figment isn’t the only new character who will be making his debut in EPOCT soon!
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the progress of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This new walkthrough attraction will allow guests to interact with water elements as they follow the journey of the water cycle.
It was just announced that the new attraction will officially open on October 16th, 2023. But that’s not the only exciting Moana update we received…it was also revealed that Moana herself is also heading to the World Nature section of EPCOT with her own dedicated space near Journey of Water!
This Moana meet and greet will give guests the chance to interact with the inspiration behind the brand-new attraction in EPCOT!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates about the exact details of the new character meet-and-greet as Moana’s EPCOT debut date gets closer, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest news!
