We’ve learned a bit about what to expect from this new interactive attraction, plus we’ve been keeping our eyes out for construction progress on every visit to Disney World. But now Disney shared a new look at Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana that has us ready for some opening day news!

Take a look at the Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana logo that just debuted! The logo design seems to align with Disney’s vision, as the attraction will educate guests on the global water cycle and teach us that water is a friend, water connects us all, and water needs protection.

Remember when Disney first shared a preview of the massive Te Fiti character that would eventually arrive in EPCOT? Well, now we finally have a better idea of how she will look inside the attraction thanks to this special look at Journey of Water!

Currently, the Disney World website states that Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open in late 2023. We’re still waiting on an exact opening date, but we do know that Cast Member previews are happening soon.

It looks like it’s almost ready to open!

But that’s not all! The Disney World website also has a new clue about the attraction. We spotted a small section on the website titled, “Make a Splash… or Stay Dry!” with information about how guests can enjoy Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

Disney explains, “You can choose to get wet — or take the dry path instead — as you explore this whimsical, watery world.” It sounds like guests won’t have to get wet to enjoy this new area, which might ease some people’s concerns about walking around soaking wet all day.

The concept art is coming to life!
