It’s no secret that EPCOT has been undergoing a HUGE transformation over the past few years…and it’s still happening!
A lot of the transformation is complete, though, with the addition of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Connections Eatery, and more. Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana is set to open later this year and we’ve got a new update!
Over on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram page, we got a brand new look at the Moana-inspired attraction! The post says, “As we test and prepare our next attraction to welcome guests later this Fall to World Nature in EPCOT, our Imagineers have begun to teach water how to play.”
In the attraction, visitors will be able to engage with water in many different ways and learn about water’s “journey” through the world. We’ll also be able to learn about how to conserve our natural resources and protect water. Disney says, “We hope everyone feels inspired to connect with water as a friend, just like Moana did in the film!”
We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction here and it has been coming along nicely. It almost looks like it’s ready for visitors! The attraction is set to open in fall of 2023, but an official opening date has yet to be announced.
