NEW Disney World Hotel Construction May Impact Your Next Trip

Disney World is working on upgrading some of its most iconic hotels.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Back in January, we learned that Disney’s Beach Club Resort would be getting some TLC and we got to check out some of those changes on a recent stay at this Deluxe hotel. But, it looks like Disney still isn’t done renovating the Beach Club, as we spotted some new construction on a recent visit.

Disney announced that the villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be undergoing refurbishments back in January, and we’ve been keeping an eye on the progress ever since. But now, it looks like construction has hit the lobby of the Beach Club as well!

Uh oh!

As you head toward the entrance of Cape May Cafe, you’ll be met with a sign at the top of a nearby staircase informing you that the area is currently closed for refurbishment.

There weren’t any signs indicating just what was being worked on in this area, but we also noticed it wasn’t the only area sectioned off.

Can’t go up there.

The balcony above Cape May Cafe has been blocked off by a thin, plastic sheet — likely to prevent debris from circulating through the rest of this area. We noticed several plastic sheets throughout the Beach Club lobby blocking certain parts off.

Disney hasn’t shared how long this renovation is expected to last, and it’s already been delayed once — but we’ll keep you updated and let you know when we learn more.

Plastic sheeting is up.

We’ve got a recent post on the best rooms to book at this resort, and we’ve got a full tour of it from last year as well before it went under refurb.
