NEWS: Genie+ Price Decreases in Disney World

It’s been a big week at Disney World!

Cinderella Castle

On June 27th, Disney launched an updated version of the Genie+ skip-the-line-service that would give park visitors the option to purchase a multi-park option or a single-park option, with the intention of allowing single-park visitors to save a bit of money on the service. We spent a lot of time on June 27th experimenting with the new service and talking to Cast Members about how to better navigate and use the updated Genie+ to our advantage. We found out that the multi-park option was priced based on the highest-priced single-park option, which is based on purchased tickets and demand for that park. This made us curious to see what pricing would look like after the first day.

Today, June 28th, we noticed a decrease in price for select options within the new Genie+ service. Prices for the multi-park option, Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios all decreased by $2.

Prices for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT for the single-park option remained unchanged.

With the upcoming 4th of July holiday, we’re interested to see whether or not the prices will drastically increase due to higher crowd levels. We’re also interested to see how the higher crowds will impact each individual single-park option.
