ALERT! A Big Ride Closure Is Happening Tomorrow in Disney World

Update: Note that the closure was delayed to February 21st, 2023.

If you’re planning a Disney World trip in the coming months, there are some things you need to know.

You’ll want to know when to expect the crowds (like during Spring Break), what special offerings are coming soon (like the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival), and when new things open (like Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land). But for those traveling soon, there’s also a big CLOSURE you should know about.

For the past several months, we’ve seen Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have some extended downtime. The ride has broken down many mornings, which has caused it to have long wait times during the hours that it IS open. But hopefully, whatever issues the ride is having will be fixed soon.

Starting tomorrow, February 20th, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closed for an extended refurbishment. This will last several months, going into the summer season.

You’ll want to be aware of this closure if the ride is on your to-do list for an upcoming trip. No reopening date is set yet, but we’ll keep you updated when one is announced.
