The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is one of our favorite EPCOT festivals, which is sayin’ something because EPCOT hosts several AMAZING festivals throughout the year!

Let’s walk through some reasons why it ranks at the top of our Festival list, and why you may want to make sure to plan to visit Disney World during this time of year to experience it for yourself!
Photo Opportunities
For starters, the festival is STUNNING. Disney does such an incredible job of adding beauty and color to an already lovely EPCOT with the massive amount of flowers they grow for the festival.

We love looking at and snapping fun photos with all of the Disney-themed topiaries. (Find out how to Instagram your way through EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival here!)
Outdoor Kitchens
Flower and Garden also offers great food options — you can view the Flower and Garden page here, so see what the festival typically has to offer!

A few of our classic favorites are the Violet Blueberry Vanilla Croissant Donut, the Orange Cream Slushy, and the Coffee-rubbed Pork Poutine.
The Weather
The weather is also ideal — warm (well, it’s Florida, after all), but from March to July the humidity is usually pretty mellow, and though warm, it’s definitely not Florida summer hot (well, at least not for some of the festival)!

If you do love that certain glow you get from the hot Florida summer sun, you can still experience this beautiful festival in the summer as well!
The Crowds
This festival also takes place at a great time of year since it starts while school is still in session and the peak summer crowds haven’t invaded Disney World quite yet. But if you do want to experience this Festival with your family, it also happens to be going on during most schools’ Spring Breaks! So, you can actually get the best of both worlds.

And it now stretches out into the summer, so that way you can take advantage of those summer school breaks and plan a trip when there are lower park ticket prices, too. (We do love a bargain!)
The Merchandise
We are also BIG fans of the merchandise. Disney usually creates designs that feature a lot of bright and fun colors since the festival takes place in the spring!

Sadly, we do wish that this festival would teach us a bit more about gardening like it was originally intended to do! But for the natural (and human-made) beauty, creative eats, and general feeling of fresh renewal, Flower and Garden takes the top spot.
