A Restaurant Opening is Postponed and MORE Disney Updates You Missed

We’re halfway through December and only a few weeks away from a brand new year.

2023 Minnie Ears

It’s hard to believe it’s almost 2023. A LOT has happened this year, after all. Actually, a lot has happened just this week, and in case you missed any Disney news, we’re going to get you caught up right now on the biggest stories.

Changes Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

We’ve already seen a lot of other Disney hotels getting some refreshes over the past few years, and now, it’s the Grand Floridian’s time for an update. The lobby at the Grand Floridian is getting a refurbishment. It will ‘maintain the classic theming you know and love with some fresh new enhancements.”

We don’t have a date yet when the refurbishment will begin, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Update on Roundup Rodeo BBQ

We finally got an update on the Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant that’s coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. First, the bad news: the restaurant will not be opening in 2022, as previously stated. However, we have a new opening timeline for spring 2023. We also got a first look at the inside of the restaurant.

It will be a “rollicking place for honorary toys to enjoy barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.”

We got a full list of all the food booths coming to the festival this year, including a new Figment-themed food booth. Figment is also the star of the EPCOT Festival of the Arts merchandise we got a sneak peek at.

  1. The reservation system is not fair to us Platinum Passholders or others . As stated by the former Chapik “If I had a family say from SoDakota Inwould rather see them in the park than the premium holders. I assume he thinks they spend more$. By By Chapik you almost ruined some of the very important about Disney. Thank goodness the Board recognized you for a fool and gave u your walking papers. Now bring back the Osborne Family Lights. Thank You
