The latest cruise ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet — the Disney Wish — is preparing to set sail on her maiden voyage soon!
There are a lot of exciting new things coming to the Wish, like two brand new stage shows, the AquaMouse (a.k.a. the first EVER attraction at sea!), as well as some pretty unique dining experiences like a Frozen-themed dinner show, Arendelle: A Frozen Adventure and the first-ever Marvel dining experience! With the maiden voyage of the ship less than a month away, Disney recently shared some more details about the Marvel dining experience.
The experience is called “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” at World of Marvel and it will be one of the many dining rooms that guests rotate through during their stay onboard. It is intended to be interactive, giving guests the opportunity to participate in an Avengers mission!
It will include characters and actors from the Marvel movies like Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. And, Disney recently announced that actress Iman Vellani will also be seen as Ms. Marvel from the Ms. Marvel series on Disney+.
Onboard, the show starts off as a demonstration of the latest Pym Tech creation, the Quantum Core, but it attracts Ultron, a villain who wants to get his hands on the technology. Captain America and Captain Marvel arrive to help, and they bring with them Ms. Marvel, a hero-in-training who is excited to fight alongside the Avengers themselves.
We can’t wait to see it ourselves!
If you’re heading on a Disney Cruise soon, there are some other things you should know. Beginning on June 7th, all fully vaccinated guests are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than two days prior to boarding the ship. Tests had previously been provided by Disney, but they recently changed this policy.
And, if you’re not heading on a Disney Cruise soon, but still want to feel like you’re there, you can watch the live debut of the Disney Wish from your own home!
