It’s never truly quiet when it comes to Disney news, is it?
There’s always something going on, even if it’s just knowing that bookings for 2023 Disney World vacations are starting soon, finding out that tickets have gone on sale for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, or learning that Fantasmic! Dining Packages Are Returning to Disneyland. But there are even BIGGER news stories this week, so let’s get to them!
More Details About the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
Disney released even MORE details about this year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, which will be held from July 14th through November 19th, 2022. First, we got the FULL list of food booths that guests can expect to see this year.
We also got the full line-up for the Eat to the Beats concert series, which will return with the festival this year. Not only are Boyz II Men returning, but guests will also have a chance to see Tiffany, Hanson, 38 Special, and more.
Early Theme Park Entry Extended at Disney World
It seems like Early Theme Park Entry at Disney World is here to stay, or at least it’s planning on sticking around for a while longer. Disney recently announced this perk for Disney World hotel guests will remain in place throughout all of 2023.
Early Theme Park Entry allows Disney World hotel guests to enter any theme park on any day 30 minutes before the general public. However, all guests must still have a valid park ticket and park pass reservation.
Big Changes Coming To Genie+
Disney is about to change the way guests can purchase Disney Genie+. Starting on June 8th, 2022, guests will no longer be able to purchase Disney Genie+ in advance for their trip. Instead, Genie+ will only be available for purchase on the day of each visit, starting at midnight. Remember that you can buy it using the My Disney Experience app.
This means that all guests will only be able to purchase Genie+ one day at a time “subject to availability.” That could mean Disney plans on limiting how many people can purchase Genie+ on any given day.
Two Big Disney World Reopenings
It’s been nearly two years since Disney World’s reopening, but many things at the resort have not yet reopened. However, we recently received confirmation the Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom will open its doors again on July 31st, 2022. A limited number of reservations will be available starting on June 28th, although walk-ins will also be accepted based upon availability.
But that’s not all because we also learned that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will reopen later this year at both Disney World AND Disneyland. We don’t have a specific date for those openings yet, but we’ll keep you updated!
Marvel Releases First Trailer for ‘She-Hulk’ Series
It’s always exciting to learn more about the next Marvel series coming to Disney+. While we’re waiting for Ms. Marvel to premiere next month, we just got a release date AND a new trailer for the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series, starring Tatiana Maslany.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will debut on Disney+ on August 17th!
