There are a lot of unexpected things that could go wrong during your Disney World vacation!
Bad weather could make an appearance or a random illness could change your plans for a few days. But one of the most common issues we deal with in the parks is when rides close temporarily. And today, guests of Hollywood Studios are dealing with that problem BIG TIME.
This morning, not one, not two, but THREE big rides at Hollywood Studios are temporarily closed. Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are all unavailable at this time.
The My Disney Experience app has been updated to show the closures, and a Cast Member came on the park’s loudspeaker to announce that the Hollywood Tower Hotel was “full” and that they were all out of “backstage passes” at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster — even with the closure announcements, they kept the theming of the rides!
It’s not uncommon to see Rise of the Resistance close for technical difficulties. Earlier this morning, the ride was operational, so we’ll keep checking to see if it comes back up.
As for now, it looks like the wait times are increasing for the park’s other rides, including other popular options like Slinky Dog Dash and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
