Disney Reveals THEMES for Springtime Surprise Race Weekend 2026

Grab your shoes and lace up, because runDisney has just revealed the themes for the next 2026 race weekend, and we didn’t even know one of the themes was possible!

Springtime Surprise is the final race of the running season, offering three incredible distances, along with yoga and a challenge medal. If you were debating signing up, once you see the themes, you’ll need to!

Before we get too far, what is runDisney? These fun events are running races throughout Disney Parks. They’re very early in the morning, but will get you access to rare characters, medals, shirts, and overall fun.

Not a runner? Walkers are welcome! You need to be able to keep a 16-minute mile pace for longer racers, and keep in mind you’ll want some extra time to meet your favorite characters. Athletes with disabilities are also welcome in push rim chairs and hand cycles, as well as other adaptive equipment and accommodations.

The 2026 Springtime Surprise Weekend will take place from April 16th to 20th, focusing on best friend duos at Disney World.

General registration opens on July 29th, 2025, at 10 AM EST.

Springtime Surprise 5k

Welcome, Zootopia besties, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, as you run 5k (or 3.1 miles) throughout Disney World!

• • Date: April 17th at 5 AM
  • Cost: $119

Springtime Surprise 10k

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers is that Tiggers are wonderful things! This 10k (6.2 miles) features Winnie the Pooh and Tigger (and Disney has said, “If bounding as Pooh, please wear pants”).

• • Date: April 18th at 5 AM
  • Cost: $166

Springtime Surprise 10-Miler

This is the only race with a 10-miler option, and this year, you’ll join Joy and Sadness to create your own core memories.

• • Date: April 19th at 5 AM
  • Cost: $229

Springtime Surprise Challenge

For this challenge, you’ll race in the 5k, 10k, and 10-miler, and if you do, you’ll receive a fourth medal! You’ll get a total of four medals and four shirts, and Genie and Aladdin will be your hosts.

Springtime Surprise Yoga

It’s been the year of Lilo & Stitch, and that’s continuing right into runDisney. This yoga event will take place at Hollywood Studios, and you’ll receive your own yoga mat for your hour-long class.

  • Cost: $125
