A lot has been changing at Jungle Cruise in Disney World as the ride receives a major refurbishment.
Disney announced earlier this year that they would be enhancing the storyline of this punny boat ride by adding more characters and removing any “outdated cultural depictions” throughout the ride. Yesterday, we noticed that more animatronics were missing, and now the area where the characters once were is looking even more barren.
On your journey down the Nile River, guests used to be taunted by animatronics depicting natives that were “throwing arrows” at the boat…
…the three animatronics were removed from the ride yesterday, but that’s not all that’s gone now!
Today, the entire structure was missing from the area leaving only the trees and a small construction tarp behind.
We can’t wait to see what new scene may be added here in the coming months as Disney works to wrap up the refurbishment by the end of the summer. We’ve already seen some of the new additions being installed, so there will likely be more to come soon! Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
