PHOTOS! Disney World Christmas Decorations are Coming Down as We Head into the New Year

It feels like just yesterday Disney World was putting up the big Christmas tree in the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT Christmas Tree

The new year is starting tomorrow and we’re already seeing signs that Christmas is almost over in the theme parks. The Magic Kingdom is still going strong with decorations and music today. EPCOT, however, is ready to forget 2020 move into 2021 right now!

EPCOT was late to the Christmas party this year and didn’t put up decorations until after the other three parks started decorating. Now, it’s one of the first parks to start removing decorations! We noticed today that the big Christmas tree that welcomes guests to World Showcase was GONE!

Missing Christmas Tree!

The late addition/early removal of decorations is most likely due to the festivals being scheduled almost back-to-back this year. The Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival closed and just 5 days later the Festival of the Holidays moved in. That was a short amount of time to put up all the decorations! Now,  EPCOT will kick off this year’s Festival of the Arts on January 8th.

Goodbye, Christmas!

It seems that the park could be gearing up for the winter festival! We’ll keep an eye out for more updates in the new year and beyond.

Happy New Year, from the AllEars team!
