We’ve been keeping a close watch on construction for the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Hotel.

The new hotel (which is more like a cruise experience) will allow guests to be fully immersed in a Star Wars narrative. On our last update, we began to see the terminal pod take shape. The hotel also received a bridge that connects guests via a themed shuttle to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We recently took a drive and noticed even more progress being made!
To keep the rooms fully immersive, no real windows will reveal anything outside of the hotel. Instead, every cabin will be complete with a galaxy porthole that will display the stars and Star Wars elements.

Interestingly enough, you can still see “windows” from the outside of the building as its being constructed!

Recently, the Walt Disney Company CFO confirmed that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was a priority project for Disney, and it certainly looks like construction is coming along nicely!

As of now, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is set to open in 2021. Earlier this year, Disney revealed they would start taking hotel reservations at some point in 2020, and we will continue to bring you updates on the latest details!
