NEWS: California Will Move Into Stage Three of Their Reopening Plan Tomorrow!

Yesterday, we learned that the Disneyland Resort has proposed a plan to reopen its theme parks on July 17th, which happens to be the 65th Anniversary of Disneyland’s original opening date.

Theme parks are considered part of Stage Three of California’s reopening plan. When Disney made their announcement yesterday, the state was still in Stage Two with no announced plans as to when Stage Three would begin.

California Entering Stage Three of Reopening

We now know that California will begin Stage Three on Friday, June 12th, according to KCRA. Businesses that will be allowed to reopen include schools, gyms, bars, hotels, and museums. Despite theme parks being included in Stage Three, other large gatherings such as convention centers, concerts, and other entertainment venues may not reopen at this time.

Keep in mind, however, that Disneyland’s reopening date is still over a month away, and the state could be deeper into Stage Three by that time.

Orange County No Longer Requiring Face Masks

Also announced today by Orange County Register was a loosening of the face mask guidelines in Orange County, where Disneyland is located. Previously, face masks were required to be worn at all times in situations where physical distancing was not possible. Now, that guideline has been relaxed to being “strongly recommended.”

Since Disneyland is a privately-owned company, they can still issue their own, stricter guidelines on face mask usage than what the county or state recommends.

  1. Yes, I want to visit between the 17th-21st, but, don’t have tickets. Is it possible to get them for one of those dates? We’re from the east coast and had this trip planned to bring our great niece for her high school graduation gift. With the way things have been going for these graduates, it would be nice to give her something to look forward to. We need 4 tickets and a reservation for my daughter who is a pass holder. Could you please help?

Do you have a ballpark idea of maybe when so that I can keep a lookout? I love Disneyland and wanted my niece and great niece to experience it. This is 50% of the reason why we are coming out there. We changed our plans once already and don’t want to change again. I hope you can understand our feelings❤️
