Disney Pic of the Week: Mission Space

I wanted to love Mission Space, I really really did. As a young girl watching America’s space program unfold, I so wanted to be the first woman astronaut. Well, that didn’t happen.

So when Mission Space was announced I thought I would finally get to “experience” a real liftoff.
Well, I went opening day and rode. Unfortunately it left me pretty wobbly and dizzy. While I loved the liftoff, the rest wasn’t so pleasant. In fact, after my opening day experience, I wrote an article called : To Boldly Go Where I Will Never Go Again“!

When the Green Option became available I had to try it one more time. Sadly, this didn’t work for me either. So my fondest memory of Mission Space, was waiting for it to Blast Off in 2003!!
