had a great server-her name tag said Ryan but I think she said it was Amanda? She was in character and she made it fun. We split a chicken dinner so I could get dessert. It was all very good.

Pros:

food and server

Cons:

nothing

Great food, amazing service, well priced, fun atmosphere. We loved our experience here! My wife and I both got the sampler with pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, and sides. It was a good amount of food for the price! We also shared a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake, which was huge! and delicious! We honestly can't wait to go back again on our next trip!

Pros:

The food, service, atmosphere, and price

Cons:

We had dinner here, but it could be a little heavy for lunch.

When my husband and I visited Hollywood studios this past October, our original plan was to not get a reservation and just snack around the park. About halfway through our day, due to the good experiences we had at the other parks on our trip, we decided to end up getting a reservation. While reservations for 50s prime time are hard to come by, even 60 days out, we got very lucky and were able to get on the walk up list. Even better, after we joined the walk up list, we had about an hour to kill, so we were able to finish up our time in Galaxy’s edge, and leisurely make our way to the restaurant. So that was wonderful in and of itself.

Now for the ‘beef’ (pun intended) of the review, first off - Cousin Luis did absolutely right by us. He was funny, had some great jokes, and we truly felt like we were family! If you go, and he is your server, you are going to be treated right! He also had some great recommendations, and overall was a 10/10 server.

For drinks, I ordered the Cherry sprite, and my hubs ordered a root beer. Both were delicious, and Luis made sure we didn’t go thirsty while we waited for our food, which was also top-of-the-line divine. We ordered the Onion Rings as an appetizer, they were crispy, delicious, and the onions inside the batter were actually tasty!

Then the main course, husband got Fried Chicken, and I originally got the pot roast. After we had ordered, my stomach politely reminded me that eating a heavy pot roast was probably a bad idea, so I asked Luis to change my order to the Caesar salad with Salmon. He teased me about it, but still (while being very busy) managed to change my order quickly and brought it out at the same time as my husbands!

I did sneak some of the fried chicken of hubs plate, but almost got my hand bitten. The fried chicken was better than any I have ever tasted, that’s for sure. My salad was also amazing! The salmon was perfectly seasoned, there was a good amount of dressing, and overall was absolutely wonderful. I absolutely will come eat here again when we come back!

Pros:

Great food, cousins make you feel at home, Cherry sprite is fantastic, decor is LEGENDARY.

Cons:

VERY hard to get reservations.

This is such a fun place! My family always loves coming here for a good meal and a laugh. I love the 1950's theming. Ask to sit at one of the tables with the television set, it makes the experience much more enjoyable, I only wish they had more of those. The servers make this experience so much fun - if you aren't practicing 1950's table etiquette, they will call you out and it is hilarious! If you don't have a sense or humor, this place isn't for you. As for the food, every dessert we had was delicious and entrees were hit or miss. Personally, I loved the pot roast, by far my favorite entree on the menu. The fried chicken is good, by no means the best I ever had, but it is good. I found the meatloaf to be inedible.

Pros:

Theme Food (if you order the right thing) Dessert

Cons:

Food (If you order the wrong thing)

We ate here for an early dinner on 10/11/21. The theming is great and our waitress played into it which we loved. My husband got the pot roast. He said it was just ok, nothing he would order again but nothing he would send back either. I got the fried chicken which was a huge portion but did not compare to Homecomin. My son got the strawberry milkshake which we all shared and enjoyed and the chicken tenders which were just average. You definitely come here for the experience and theming and not so much the food

Pros:

took us on time, blasting AC, fun theming

Cons:

food bland/just ok

Ate here for my recent trip in September, but have been here many times in the past on family trips. The cast member outside managed to get us in slightly prior to our reservation time slot which was awesome. I ordered the meatloaf, and sadly found it kind of boring in the flavor department. The green beans were really good though, and I don't even like green beans usually. The wait staff were fantastic as expected and made the experience a lot of fun, but I think, when/if there's a next time, I will try something else.

Pros:

Fun themeing and wonderful wait staff. Decent food for not unreasonable prices.

Cons:

Meatloaf was less exciting than I remembered it from my younger days

Pros:

Some options for healthy eaters, unique theming, consistency

Cons:

I love the atmosphere in here! The first time I ate here, the food was pretty good but nothing special. The second time, my food tasted like a bucket of salt :/ and one of my friends tried it and agreed. The others we were with also said that their food tasted too salty. My server the second time also didn't really understand my dietary restriction at first (she eventually got it) and she made me feel uncomfortable trying to explain myself a couple of times instead of just getting a chef. It was still a fun experience overall and bonus points for having thick plant-based milkshakes and the plant-based apple crisp! I would still recommend trying this place for yourself!

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

Food is nothing special and hit or miss

We ate here on our honeymoon in September of 2019. My first warning is unless you eat HUGE meals at home every day, either split a meal or set this as your ONLY meal of the day. The portions are elephantine! The food is standard comfort food but done really well. The drinks are really good. We had the Dad's electric blue lemonade which was very refreshing, not terribly sweet with a nice sour tartness from the lemon. This restaurant is really where you go for the 50's atmosphere! The waiter we had (Cousin Eddy) was dismayed that he had not been invited to the wedding. He was really good at reading off our energy and played with us just the right amount without going super over the top.

Pros:

Food is good, waiters will meet you on your level, theming is awesome

Cons:

Elephantine portions of food, Can be very noisy for people who are sensitive to a lot of stimulation.
