CONFIRMED: 14 Celebrities Are Coming to EPCOT This Month

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has arrived in Disney World, and we could not be more excited!

It’s tiiiimeeee!

This year’s festival comes with more than 20 food locations, exclusive entertainment, and a meet-and-greet with the head elf himself, Santa Claus! But one of the most exciting parts of the festival that draws in BIG crowds is the Candlelight Processional.

The Candlelight Processional is a Festival of the Holidays tradition, a show that takes place each evening during the festival in the America Gardens Amphitheatre. The show tells the story of Christmas with a live orchestra, choir, the Voices of Liberty, and a celebrity narrator. Throughout the festival, various celebs come to EPCOT to perform the honor.

There have been dozens of celebrity narrators over the years, and some draw in absolutely massive crowds — so much that they return year after year. This year’s lineup includes some major names, and if you’re heading to the parks in December, you’ll want to see this list!

Standby entrance

So if you see someone on this list you want to watch in person, is it as simple as showing up at the park and waiting in line for a show? Well, sometimes. Each night, there are Candlelight Processional performances at 5PM, 6:45PM, and 8:15PM. There are two ways to get in line to watch a performance: either you wait in the standby queue, or you book a Candlelight Processional dining package.

Dining packages are available at several table service restaurants around the park. For those, advance dining reservations are highly recommended because they fill up quickly. You can also try to get the dining package at Regal Eagle Smokehouse on the day of your visit, but you’ll want to stop by early — they sell out FAST.  Each dining package includes your meal and reserved seating to one of the evening’s shows.

If you don’t go the dining package route, you’ll probably want to hop in the standby line 45-60 minutes (or even earlier for the most popular celebs) before that show begins to ensure you get a seat. There is some limited standing room at the back of the amphitheatre, but the show is about half an hour long, so that may not be the best course of action for all groups.

Ultimately, this is a very popular offering during the festival, and in our opinion, it’s a can’t-miss part of your day! Make sure to plan ahead for your visit, and you’ll hopefully have a lovely time watching this show.
