Halloween Horror Nights is every horror fan’s dream, and it’ll be here before we know it!

Universal Orlando is known for this iconic event every year, which brings fans back again and again each year to experience new scares. However, if you’re going for the first time, or you haven’t been in a while, you need to know about these unspoken rules before you step foot in the park!
Don’t Touch ANYTHING
The moment you step into one of the haunted houses, DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. Not the set, the props, and NEVER the actors.

This really goes for everything all around the event except for food you’re buying and merchandise you’re checking out. This event takes place almost entirely in the dark, which means visibility is already low, and is even lower for scare actors with masks on their faces that limit their eyesight. They know these houses and scare zones like the back of their hands, so don’t do anything to mess with them or the scenes.
Don’t Let Them See You’re Scared
This sounds a little counterproductive, but if you’re not a HUGE fan of scares and want every bit coming at you, don’t let the scare actors see that you’re as affected as you are.

On the flip side, if you want MORE scares, pull out some acting of your own and act like you’re way more scared than you really are. Most scare actors will go after who they see will be the biggest scare, so if you’re truthfully massively scared, or acting super scared, you’ll likely be singled out.
Get in Line EARLY
This may seem like common sense, but it’s easy to lose track of time in the event. Get in line for your number one experience as EARLY as possible so you can make it through as much of the event as possible — those lines get LONG!

This is especially true the closer it gets to Halloween, and/or on weekends where more people are off of work and school. We strongly suggest putting your desired experiences in order of what you’d like to experience most, and following that order throughout the night.
The Harder It Is For You To Go, The Cheaper The Price
Let us explain — the cheapest times to go to Halloween Horror nights fall under two categories:
- The earlier it is in the year
- If it’s a weekday, where more people are unavailable to attend due to work or school

If your work or school schedule is different than “normal” and going on one of these cheaper nights works for your schedule, we say go for it! Not only will you be getting a cheaper price, but the event will also be less crowded, meaning you can experience more in one night!
We’ll be keeping you updated on all the latest Halloween Horror Nights news, and will of course be there the day the event begins on August 30th, so stay tuned to AllEars!
