May the virtual queue be with you…

Just days after Disney implemented a virtual queue for the highly anticipated Hollywood Studios 35th Anniversary event, another virtual merchandise queue is returning to the park this weekend!
Given that Hollywood Studios has been home to all-things Star Wars at Disney World for 35 years – AKA over two decades longer than Disney has even owned the Star Wars franchise – it makes sense that the park is the epicenter of May the 4th celebrations at the resort.

Given how hectic the day has proven to be in the past, Disney has announced that a virtual queue will once again be in place to purchase limited May the 4th merchandise this year. The event will be located at the Stage 1 Company store – the same location as the 35th anniversary store – where guests will be able to pore over an “exciting mix of Star Wars-themed adult and youth apparel, collectibles and limited-release pins at Stage 1 Company Store in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”

Disney also broke down the how the virtual queue will operate, which is similar to others they’ve used in the past:
-You must have valid theme park admission (and, if applicable, theme park reservations) for Disney’s Hollywood Studios to join the virtual queue.
-You can join the virtual queue starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time on May 4, 2024. Please be aware that you do not need to be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when you request to join the virtual queue.
-Download the My Disney Experience app and ensure location services are turned on. Visit the “Virtual Queues” section in the app to begin.

The May the 4th merchandise virtual queue returning combined with the 35th Anniversary merchandise event earlier this week seem to point to more and more virtual queue merchandise events in Walt Disney World’s future. Stay tuned to AllEars for more May the 4th news.
