Disney Just Added a VERY Necessary New Detail to EPCOT

The flowers are blooming, those unsightly barges are leaving, and Spaceship Earth is glowing (literally!). EPCOT is looking good lately! After months of construction, we’re happy to see some changes finally take shape in the park.

EPCOT still has a long way to go before the big transformation is complete, but we noticed a small update that we have to talk about! One highly-anticipated project is set to open soon in EPCOT, and we’ve got the signs to prove it!

As you may recall, EPCOT’s lands recently went through a little rebrand. A portion of the area formerly known as “Future World” is now World Celebration. During our visit to World Celebration, we spotted a new directional sign — check it out!

This is a good sign that Journey of Water is coming soon!

If you look closely, you may notice there is a blank space on the sign. Under a layer of black film, we spied the signage for Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. This is a good sign that Journey of Water is coming soon!

Now if only those construction walls would go away…

While we still don’t have an exact opening date, we do know that the new Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana walk-through attraction is set to open in Fall of 2023.

Disney has kept the details pretty quiet, but so far, they’ve revealed that the walk-through attraction will allow guests to interact with water in a Moana-themed setting filled with characters and theming from the movie.

We’ve been keeping our eyes on the construction progress for a while now, and we can’t wait to see the finished project. In the meantime, it’s nice to see some updated signage popping up around the park!
