Picking our favorite Disney World deluxe resort is an impossible task! So rather than pick them ourselves, we turned to YOU, our readers, to show us how the deluxe resorts rank!

We combed through the reviews of the resorts and ranked all eleven resorts based on its average score! For the purposes of this ranking, we are not including the Villas or the Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
9th Place: Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (7.82)
Someone had to come in last place, and for this ranking, that goes to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, the only deluxe resort to have an average score of below 8. There are definitely pros to staying at this Disney Vacation Club property! For starters, you’re steps away from Disney Springs and all of its shopping and dining! Its sprawling layout may make for long internal bus loops, but the atmosphere here definitely tends to be quieter if you’re looking for a calmer escape from the parks.

8th Place: Disney’s Beach Club Resort (8.19)
The next ranking might surprise Beach Club fans! Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a sister resort to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, which ended up ranking much higher! Beach Club is a short walk from the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT as well as the Skyliner station! That makes for super convenient access to two parks and several resorts around Disney World. Not to mention the Beach Club shares the fan favorite Stormalong Bay with Yacht Club.

7th Place: Disney’s Old Key West Resort (8.26)
In 7th place is the original Disney Vacation Club property known as Disney’s Old Key West Resort! Much like Saratoga Springs, Old Key West’s large sprawling layout may be a turnoff for some, but it makes for a quieter, more laid-back vibe along the river. Old Key West is just a short (and leisurely!) boat ride from Disney Springs.

6th Place (TIE): Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn (8.39)
Are you surprised to see Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa tie for sixth place? We definitely are! It just goes to show how close all of these resorts’ average scores are to each other, and every decimal point counts! The Grand Floridian is home to some of the most highly-rated dining in all of Disney World, including Victoria & Albert’s and Narcoossee’s.

The other resort tied for sixth place is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. This deluxe resort is also located in the EPCOT resort area of Disney World, just a few short steps from World Showcase. The boardwalk itself comes to life at night, making this a not-so-secret destination for guests once the parks are closed. Once it reopens, you have to check out Jellyrolls!

5th Place: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (8.49)
Where can you go to see the same kinds of animals on the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom without buying a park ticket? Hop over to the fifth place resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! This is truly a one-of-a-kind resort with stunning views of all kinds of roaming animals. Not to mention Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to some of our favorite restaurants, Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa!

4th Place: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (8.53)
According to our readers, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort ranks six spots higher than its sister resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort! The two resorts are very similar in theme and style, and they both share Stormalong Bay. Not to mention Yacht Club is super close to EPCOT! Yacht Club is also home to Yachtsman Steakhouse, as well as Ship Shape Spa and Salon.

3rd Place: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (8.58)
It’s down to the final few Disney World deluxe resorts! Coming in third place is a beloved resort of ours and of many readers: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! What can we say about the Polynesian? It’s home to some great restaurants and bars, including ‘Ohana and Trader Sam’s. Its tropical island theming is simply iconic, and it has easy Monorail access to Magic Kingdom! What else could you need?

2nd Place (TIE): Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort (9.00)
That’s right folks, there are two ties in the deluxe resort rankings! The first resort to tie for second place is Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Contemporary has been around since Disney World’s earliest days. Home to California Grill and Chef Mickey’s, this Monorail resort is also a quick walk from the main entrance to Magic Kingdom.

While Disney’s Contemporary Resort is among the oldest Disney World resort hotels, the other resort tied for second place is the newest: Disney’s Riviera Resort! Open since December of 2019, this Disney Vacation Club property is located along the Skyliner route and is designed after Europe and the Mediterranean. It boasts sweeping views of Disney World from its top-floor restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace!

1st Place: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (9.14)
At last, we’ve reached our number one ranked Disney World deluxe resort, according to our readers! With an impressive average score of 9.14, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge might not be as well known as the other Magic Kingdom area resorts located along the Monorail route. But Wilderness Lodge includes a stunning lobby and resort grounds, great dining options, and easy access to Magic Kingdom!
